1 min read

Before the Testing Day #

  1. Make sure you can log in to the NWEA MAP portal at http://teach.mapnwea.org. If you forgot your username and password, use the link on the login page to reset your credentials.
  2. Create your testing sessions. Be sure to assign students to a test – if you do not, students will have to choose it themselves and become confused. The correct test names are:

Growth: Language 2-12 CCSS 2010 V2

Growth: Reading 6+ CCSS 2010 V2

Growth: Math 6+ CCSS 2010 V2

  3. Pause a student’s test if they need to go to the bathroom.
  4. Email it@ncpachina.org for help; the address will be continuously monitored. Or, call 020-8521 5836 x300.

If a student’s Lockdown Browser freezes #

  1. Press “command-option-escape” to quit it, then re-open it. Reboot computer if this doesn’t work.
  2. See section below to reset student status

If a student can’t see their name, but you see it on your screen #

The student’s status must be Awaiting Student in order to appear on the Sign In page. On your proctor computer, select an action depending on the Status:

  • Confirmed—Choose Select Action > Do Not Confirm (you will confirm later)
  • Testing—Choose Select Action > Suspend. Once suspended, chose Select Action > Test Again
  • Suspended—Choose Select Action > Test Again

Ask the student to sign in again, and then confirm as usual.

Ending the Test #

1. Suspend any students who are still testing. Tell them to go to the principal’s office during office hours to finish the test. The student will resume where they left off.

2. Click the “End Testing Session” button.
