How is the final course grade calculated for students?

Each proficiency level is worth a certain number of points. PowerSchool thinks of these on a scale of 0-100.

For each standard, the average of the three most recent scores is converted to a number out of 100. This average is displayed on each standard as an E, P, A, N, or I, depending on predetermined ranges set by NCPA.

Overall Standard Score93.333 = E

The ranges set by NCPA for each proficiency level are as follows: 

Range 0-100
E90-100
P70-89.99
A50-69.99
N30-49.99
I0-29.99

The final course grade is determined by calculating the average of the numerical value of each overall standard score. An example is provided below:
