Each proficiency level is worth a certain number of points. PowerSchool thinks of these on a scale of 0-100.
| Standard Score | Value |
| E | 100 |
| P | 80 |
| A | 60 |
| N | 40 |
| I | 0 |
For each standard, the average of the three most recent scores is converted to a number out of 100. This average is displayed on each standard as an E, P, A, N, or I, depending on predetermined ranges set by NCPA.
| Standard 1 | Standard Value |
| 3rd most recent: E | 100 |
| 2nd most recent: P | 80 |
| Most recent: E | 100 |
| Overall Standard Score | 93.333 = E |
The ranges set by NCPA for each proficiency level are as follows:
| Range 0-100 | |
| E | 90-100 |
| P | 70-89.99 |
| A | 50-69.99 |
| N | 30-49.99 |
| I | 0-29.99 |
The final course grade is determined by calculating the average of the numerical value of each overall standard score. An example is provided below:
